At Private Balat Or-Ahayim Jewish Hospital, our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is staffed by a specialised team of doctors and experienced nurses who provide 24-hour care. Our adult ICU consists of 4 beds, each equipped with mechanical ventilators, patient monitoring systems, infusion pumps and other essential medical equipment. Patients in the ICU can undergo all necessary laboratory tests and imaging procedures at any time of the day.

The Intensive Care Unit is designed for patients with acute illnesses, surgery or other conditions that cause one or more organs to fail temporarily or permanently. This unit supports and maintains the body’s impaired functions until the underlying condition is resolved, using advanced medical equipment, including mechanical ventilators, and requiring the specialised knowledge of skilled doctors, nurses and technicians.

To prevent patient immobility and minimise the risk of pressure ulcers, our unit uses specially designed orthopaedic beds that can adjust the patient’s position. These beds conform to the contours of the body, reducing the likelihood of pressure ulcers.
